The property is approached via a hardcore track leading from the road. The track leads to a yard area in front of the property providing plenty of parking/turning space. To the rear of the cottage is a small area laid to lawn beyond which lies the land. To the front of the cottage is a small patio area.
The property comes with two timber stable blocks, one comprises three stables and sits on a hard turn-out area with post and rail fencing. The other has 2 stables (11'5 x 9'4) plus an enclosed area to the front, ideal for storage of feed etc. On the end of the cottage there is a stone-built log store.
The land with this property is divided into 3 field enclosures, two of these are pasture - one of which lies to the front of the cottage across the yard and the other is directly behind the cottage. The field to the front is gently sloping. The third field lies beyond the front field and amounts to approximately 3 acres - it has been left largely untouched for wildlife. Within this field lies a small lake with a central island. This lake has recently been cleared (Sept 19) of vegetation as can be seen from the photo. It is home to ducks and migrant geese. The field is bounded at its lower edge by a small river. This land could be improved if desired but the current owner enjoys the land as it is. All the fields have mature hedge boundaries and there are plenty of mature trees both in the hedges and wildlife field so there is no shortage of firewood. In addition to the 3 fields, there is an area behind one of the stable blocks which was previously used for vegetables and currently houses a few fruit trees. There is also a poly tunnel.
