Godremamog dates back to 1885 and was a working woollen factory for 50 years making flannel which would have been used for work men's shirts (e.g. for colliers and steel workers) and for army uniforms. Its valley is recorded in the Mabinogion, a medieval Welsh saga dating back 1000 years which records magical events by the Cych river. From the A484 in Newcastle Emlyn, proceed to Cenarth. In Cenarth, take the left turn for Boncath. Proceed along here until you reach Abercych. Turn left in front of the Nags Head public house. Proceed along this road for several miles, along the river. Go past a right turn for Llanfyrnach/Tegryn and continue along, past a couple more houses on the left and proceed over a bridge and take the next left-hand turn. Proceed along here, past a small left-hand turn and continue where you will see Godremamog Mill a little further along on the left-hand side, denoted by our For Sale board.
